You will have no trouble finding good hammock sites on Little Sag. The northern most sites such as 819 might be an exception due to an old burn area. We stayed at 820 (just south of it) and it would be fine for hammocks. I can't speak to the other lakes on your route since Little Sag is my destination of choice when in the area.

Thank you for the replies.
Hopefully others can comment on Gillis and Gabimichimagami

We are looking to do the Gillis, Gabimichimagami, little Saganaga loop at the end of May 2022. We are hammock campers and wondering if anyone knows if the sites around these lakes are good for hammock camping currently?

Ditto,
I don't sleep in a hammock but, never had a problem finding hammock trees in that area.
Here's a couple trip reports. Beaches, flowers and storms
First fish and a walking stick

I stayed at 503 on Gillis a few years ago with a group of 4 including 3 hangers. Most maps show this campsite in the burn area but the area directly around the site was spared. There are at least 2 other sites on Gillis that you could hang a couple hammocks at (505, 507). Round Lake to Gillis is not an easy day if you're packing heavy. I did not check out the sites on Brant.

I was in that area 2 or 3 years after the Seagull Lake Fire. The areas in between Gabi, Gillis and Little Sag took a hit. However, there are still good hammock trees on all three lakes. With the best trees on the East side of Gillis, the West side of Gabi, and the West and South of Little Sag.
