All of the best outfitters will be able to suggest EPs and routes that work well with groups that include younger kids. Is that what the OP is asking?

I'm not sure what the OP is asking....or expecting from outfitters. They can supply you with canoes and gear and food. Many will send you a list of food choices and you can pick your menu and they will then pack your choices for you. They can suggest or go over your route to make it kid friendly. But, they are not going on the trip with you, unless you hire a guide, which very, very few people do. Do the kids need entertainment if you stay overnight before your trip?...game room, playground?? What are you looking for specifically?

You are going to get an all of them are good answer. Everyone has favorites that they use. I would tell you to figure out where you want to enter at. Do you want to travel up the North Shore and go out the Gunflint? That will make it so you have certain outfitter options with certain entry points. If you are going out of Ely then that sets certain entry points and certain outfitters.

Most of them if not all are used to outfitting Scout and other youth organization trips, so they see should be fine with your crew. I think if you need lodging the night before, the suggestion to stay at an outfitter where you can have breakfast and shove off is a good one.

Figure out what area you want to go in the BW first. Which means figuring out what your priorities are. Swimming, fishing, waterfalls, etc.

When it comes to outfitters, our groups have only used outfitters that are directly on the water that we are planning to paddle on. In other words, when we get up, we want to walk to our canoes, load up and push off. Kids are excited to go. Car shuttles to entry points, killing a couple of hours the first morning are a buzz kill.
Choose the area you want to go to. Then find the outfitter that you can leave the bunkhouse and walk to your canoe and push off.

All of them are good. Check out this list of outfitters who are sponsors of this website. They will be helpful and accommodate your group very professionally.

You have already made the best decision, which is to go with an outfitter. I second the comment about getting one with a bunkhouse on whatever lake you decide to enter from. Have a great trip!
