The strong winds last week blew a lot of the snow off of lakes, but there are patches of slush to be careful of. I was out skiing and noticed areas that had at least 6 inches of slush.

Anyone know the current ice conditions along the gunflint lakes? Hungry Jack, Bearskin, Duncan?

Based on FB reports from the folks at Camp Menogyn on Bearskin, ice is good. But you should always be careful around the outlet from Duncan to Rose because ice can be unpredictable there.
