9:00 am 1st choice. No problems, smooth as a canoe gliding thru a glass lake.

LIS 14 late May too. Likely going to be solo. I usually have CCO book my permit, but was pleasantly surprised at the process…schmoove!

9am, first choice, EP43 (Bower Trout), middle of June, no problem. I did notice that EP47 for the same day sold out fast.

jwartman59: "No problems getting permit for Tuscarora."

….but that’s not an entry point?!

Where do you want to go and for how long? :)

So all you people are part of my problem! My husband said he was on at 9, trying to get LIS north for anytime in July. While changing dates he somehow ended up with LIS South and was booked by 907. Only when he received the confirmation did he realize it was for ep 9. He also blames our extremely slow internet. So of course when he looked again, everything was taken for July and August.
During a conference call break he did more checking, and did find 1 open permit for EP 16, Moose, on an ok day so he took it, and cancelled ep 9. So we still might leave through LIS.

Super pumped. Three trips planned and was able to secure all the permits for the dates and entry points I wanted. Can’t wait for paddling season to start!

Got EP 14 for August right at 9. Didn't realize it would go so quick, August is already sold out!

I was able to one by one reserve my permits without any issues. 5 permits total, with 4 of them being some of the more popular EP's during peak season.

Was on at 9:00 and got my permit for Sawbill for the date I wanted. Out of curiosity, I went back a few minutes later, the entry point was sold out of all days around my entry date.

Successfully reserved my first trip first choice, EP 14 Little Indian Sioux River (North) for early June. Completed the reservation at 9:02.

By 9:03 when I reserved my second trip, I had to go to an alternate date for EP 14 since all permits were taken (mid July).

By 9:05 when I reserved my third trip, had to go to an alternate date for EP 16 Moose/Portage River (North).

Seems like permit reservations are just as "hot" this year as they have been. What was your success/failure?

I logged in on two accounts and browsers and got both mine within a minute of 9:00.

May 18th on Brule

September 14th for LIS North

The real question, does anyone want to be super optimistic and do a late April pre permit trip with me? Fingers crossed ice is gone.

3 first choice permits, including a Mudro unicorn. Done at 9:18. No hiccups in the system, but WOW they go fast.

I was getting pretty concerned, as I had never in my life seen so many online reminders from every possible outdoor website and retailer and club and government agency regarding the starting date and time.

Made me wish for a staggered reservation window, like 9:00 am 120 (?) days prior to your permit date, like the state parks camping reservations, or some such number. But that would delay reserving related services - cabins, bunkhouses, canoes, etc - until you were assured a winner.

Took about 15 minutes to book 5 permits. All EP's and dates i wanted were available, including a few popular EP's and dates. Went back and looked an hour later and three of the 5 were already completely booked out.

It's still surprising to me how this is the new norm for booking permits.

I have five trips I am trying to be part of this permit season. Two I am leading, one tough PMA trip, and two that I'm along for the ride. My buddy was pulling the entry to go along with the PMA and the two ride-alongs. I got both of the permits for the ones I was leading and we got two of three for the others. LIS N went in five minutes for Labor Day Weekend and Fourth of July was only minutes behind. Incredible, but expected. Just start at Moose River North and work a shuttle to finish at LIS N, no problem.

I got LIS 14 for late May and Kawishiwi 37 for the day after Labor Day. Done by 9:09. There was another permit taken for Kawishiwi on that date by the time I got there - dang I won't be alone up there.
