From the Tiger Bay region you can day trip across Iron to visit Curtain Falls. Definitely worth a visit. You can stop at Rebecca Falls also but you'd need to get a RABC permit from Canada.

Also, all of the island sites just south of Warrior Hill are very good.

Campsite #173 is an Island campsite. Stayed here in 2019 and had a great time.
The island site has great access to Boulder Bay as well as Never Fail Bay and tiger Bay for some great fishing.

We made it here from #16 by 2pm and I had my 69 year old father with me.

Biggest walleye we caught that week was right off the south west corner of the island campsite. Dad also caught a 39" Pike in Boulder Bay.

We did a loop up through EP 16 through Nina Moose, Agnes, LLC, Ge-be-on-e-quet, Green, Rocky, Oyster, back to Agnes, and out back in 2018 I believe. It is a great little loop. On night 2 we stayed up on site 236 in Fish Stake Narrows on LLC. It was an outstanding site on an island facing West. Not much luck fishing that next day, but we got to watch two snappers fight it out right off the edge of the island. Mosquitos got really bad that night with no wind, but otherwise it was a great site. Very quiet and secluded up there, and we didn't see a single other paddler the entire time.

To be legal, you need more than just an RABC permit. The RABC permit will allow you to legally cross the border into Canada (so you meet the requirements of Canadian customs), but you still need a day permit for Quetico. Best to call the Quetico office in Atikokan for information: (807) 597-5018.

Takucmich is off the big water. Only a 19r, semi-flat portage. First campsite off the portage is awesome. Didn't have much luck fishing from the site but I've heard there are monster lake trout in there. Really loved Ge-be too. I enjoy the secluded feel of those inner lakes. In my opinion the only thing you're missing with the big water is white caps and motor boats on the Canada side. It was cool to paddle it the 1 day we were out there but I would much rather be on the smaller lakes away from any signs of civilization.

Looking for any advice I can get. Planning on a May 20 entry 16 to Lake Agnes, then spending six days in the Lac La Croix area. Have done two loops in the past from entry 14 to 16. Have seen Warrior Hill and pictographs. I haven’t spent any time camping on Lac La Croix on our past loops since we had to keep moving.

Best places to see? Best campsites? Fishing? My wife’s first big loop and her 6th time up. She is hooked.

Thanks.
