Here it is for anyone researching the route! You can paddle this narrow, rocky, channel between Lynx and Little Shell instead of portaging 8 rods. I loved it almost as much as Snipe narrows.

Is it possible to safely paddle between Shell and Little Shell and/or Little Shell and Lynx?

Shell to Little Shell, nope
Lynx, most of the time
But both are super short.

Looking at the previous comments on it and Shell to Little Shell looks like a no go as no one has mentioned doing it.

However with a light canoe and decent water levels Little Shell into Lynx looks quite doable.

We went through the first of June and Shell to Little shell is a portage. Little Shell to Lynx we were able to paddle through but there wasn't a lot of water clearance there. Depending on water levels that's a maybe. But even if, it would be a super easy walkaround. Lynx is worth it , beautiful lake.

Looking forward to exploring that area for first time! Campsite stress already set in after reading trip reports etc.
