Hello -
Wondering if there is a “tool” to be alerted to a cancellation of a reservation for an entry point I want.

Thank you.

You have to be a paying member (and be logged in) to see the feature I think. You go to the list of EP’s, click the EP you’re interested in, click
Find Available Permits, then “Sign up for alerts.” You can sign up for all alerts (you will get a lot of emails!) or just for specific EP.

YetiJedi: "analyzer: "I don't know that whether it's ethical or not, but seems to me, we could do the following:

Lets pretend I intend to cancel a Mudro for Sat June 22 (this is hypothetical). I post that I'm interested in dropping.

Party B posts that they are interesting in that entry permit.

So then rather than cancel, I just add party B as an alternate leader, and then I don't go. Party B pays me back the $38.

I would think that would work. "

Don't you have to add the alternate when you book the permit?"

Correct, alternate leaders can only be added at the time of reservation. Other trip members can be added later but nobody with the ability to pick up the permit and be the trip leader.

Stay tuned. We expect permit alerts to be up an running, but it may be a day or two after tomorrow before everything is set.

Good to know guys. Thank you. I stand corrected.

Last year there was. Haven't seen anything about this coming year yet.
