Yes. I have section three reserved for the first night, and section four reserved for the following four nights. I'm going to try to get to Nibbin from the river instead of going into Stuart. Leave no trace so take the path less traveled, right? Lol. I'm almost positive I'll regret it.

Personal experience going through the pmas, anywhere that swampy and green looking is probably not going to navigable, even if the water levels are high.
If you give it a try make sure you post a trip report. Would be an interesting game changer not to have to find that old portage from Stuart and cutting out a chunk. Sterling is on my short list for 2025.

I'd be surprised if this exists anymore - you may need to go all the way to Stuart. Let us know what you find!

Does anyone have any info on the portage to Nibin that starts the same place as the last portage into Stuart? Looks to be shorter than going into Stuart and in May the water section should be up?
Plan on camping on Whitefeather the first night as I'll get a late start on no sleep, then Sterling the next four nights, then who knows? Never really paid attention to the portage from Stuart River to Nibin and just curious if it may be a little faster than starting at the flat rock on Stuart Lake.

You do know that White Feather and Nibin are in different sections of the PMA, thus separate pma permits needed to camp there, right?
BWCA wild has a good write up on the routes to both. Haven't been there but they are on my list for sure!
