There isn't a Nym Lake ranger station. You'll be stopping in Atikokan or at Dawson Trail (depending on your route of travel) to pick up your permit.

You probably checked the website for Voyageur Wilderness Programme. They're located on an island in the middle of Nym Lake. If they don't offer a tow (and I don't see that they do), then you'll be paddling from the Nym Lake put-in to the portage into Batch.

It's only a 40 minute paddle anyway. Hardly worth the price of a tow even if one was available.

It’s literally a half hour paddle to the far side of Nym. Batchawang is a larger body of water than Nym so if you can’t do Nym, you can’t do Batch. There is a boat landing adjacent to the Nym lake parking lot. Maybe someone with a motor boat will tow you.

Greetings fellow voyageurs -
Does anyone know if there are any entities that provide motorized tows (canoe plus gear & two paddlers) from the Nym Lake Ranger Station to the Batchewaung Lake portage?
I'm looking for a tow on Saturday am June 8th 2024.
Thanks for any information.

It’s a beautiful paddle when it’s early and calm.
But I can imagine it being a rough bigger water crossing when there’s more than just a breeze.
