I ended up using the dam to cross flooded area both in and out and didn’t find it hard to navigate. It was dry both times I used it. I could see it being slick if it was wet.

I’ll be up that way on the 12th, so I’ll update if possible.

I’m heading in tomorrow. I’ll be in a solo prism. Say hi if you see me.

The portage is flooded. I simply loaded my canoe and paddled across no problem. The other option was to walk the beaver dam, but that didn’t look any easier.

Any new info on the beaver pond between upper Pauness and Shell?

Thanks.

It looked blown out last Fall. The creek channel through the portage was too deep to walk so we reloaded for 20' or so.
