La Tourell's. They rent boats, run the portage and have a resort, all on Moose. Try to get a Basswood overnight motor permit. That's the hard part.

Do they rent boats only? I can only find the entire camping package with boat on their website.

Williams & Hall Moose Lake Outfitters and Vosburgh's also rent motor boats on Moose Lake, for some additional options. Just down the road from La Tourell's.

My buddies and I have down the BWCA for several years, we talked about mixing it up and possibly renting a boat in one of the 25 mph lakes like Moose. What outfitters rent boats up here on the few lakes that allow motors?

I would go with Vosburgh's or Williams and Hall. If you want to add to the experience stay at one of the stunning cabins Vosburghs have on Gin Hill overlooking the lake. The web site gives you an idea.

Voyageur Canoe Outfitters on Saganaga/Seagull rent boats and they have good bunk houses and showers.

Reke0402: "Is there another permit you have to get if you rent a boat, i see EP 25 has 27 permits a day, is there another permit we have to get?"

You would need a motor-specific permit. An OM (Overnight Motor) instead of an OP (Overnight Paddle). Other than Trout and Saganaga I believe most of these permits are difficult to obtain after opening-day in January.
