Hello all. We have a permit for mid-June that we were going to pickup at the Tofte Ranger Station. I just received an email about reduced days at Tofte so I'd like to switch our pickup location to the Gunflint station. Oddly, Gunflint isn’t even listed as an option for pickup. It didn’t close, did it? Anybody have an idea about what’s going on? Thanks!

Neither the Isabella (Ely) or Gunflint (Grand Marais) offices will be issuing permits anymore, and the Tofte office is reducing hours. Maybe more to come.

Sawtooth Outfitters in Tofte is very convenient, right on MN 61 near Sawbill Trail.

I would not plan on any Ranger station being open this summer as per the DOGE purge. FInd an outfitter en route.

I changed it to Northern Goods (we had Gunflint) . it looks like all permits have the ability to change location pick up. (I looked at another one to see) Sawtooth Outfitters is great in Tofte.

Changed my permit pickup location to Sawtooth as well.
