Did Hog Creek and Perent River in late September. Water levels were fine. There's a 36 rod portage on Perent we didn't see and must've canoed through, but the next one was a bugger...terrible landing..not sure it was the actual "official" portage. the other end was impassible..so we put in above the small rapids and ended up lining the canoe through. Was a long day with lots of portages, the river is very pretty, saw a group of otters from a distance. We camped on the small lake or pond on a pretty point, just before the channel into Boga lake (where we stayed two nights) before getting lost on Isabella, and then onto Quadga and out the LIttle Isabella River--lots of beaver obstructions to paddle through. Did scrape a lot of rocks on this trip, the bottom of my Bell canoe needs some TLC.

Thinking about getting away and exploring the southern border. Are the Hog and Perent passable this time of year? What are the water levels currently?
Thank you,
Mac
