The Merlin plans they now have have been re-lofted to give it some rocker.
They are not the Original Merlin plans. I built a 38 from the the original Kuntz plans years ago. I will check to see if I still have a set. I usually keep a copy for each boat I have built.

I'd check with Northwoods Canoe in St Paul. I bought my plans directly from Bruce but I believe NW started selling his designs including the 38 Special. I believe the Merlin plans they sell now are his. They may still the 38 but not advertise it. I don't know but it might be worth checking.

I like the Solo Passage for solo with rocker.
