1JimD	03/23/2015 09:37PM   My latest favorite for strip glue. The applicator bottles with tips, are cheap and work great. I purchased them at Hobby Lobby. Jim
HighPlainsDrifter	03/24/2015 02:16PM   I use Titebond III and apply with a 12 cc Monoject Curved Tip Syringe. I clean up the syringe after each day and one syringe got me through all the layup. Like most things we do in building, it is a personal preference. I have never tried any other glue or any other method of application.
okinaw55	03/25/2015 03:22PM   I don't know about canoe building yet but recently I applied some paper backed veneer to some speakers I was building. I started with Gorilla glue and ran out so used TBII because I had heard good things about it. To be honest, at least over large surfaces, the TBII seemed to separate and not stay where I had brushed it on as well. Kind of like you would see dripping dawn soup into greasy water. I think TBII has some water resistance to it and maybe that was the reason but I know that unless the TBII glue was completely dry, I had issues ironing down the veneer. Probably doesn't relate at all to what you guys are using it for but figured I would throw it out there.
DeterminedOrange	03/25/2015 12:14PM   Another Titebond II guy here. I used the 8 oz. bottle as I like the slit type tip it has. It sands better than regular white glue IMO and is still easy to clean off the stapler. Don't forget to clean the tip often no matter what you use.
opolka	03/24/2015 02:03PM   Tightbond myself. I used the #2 just because it's what i had. Think i preferred how it set up over the original with other projects. I just used a 'sauce' bottle i robbed from my wife. Helped get in those tight spots with my tumblehome design.
