Question on Quetico permit reservations online. Plan to enter at Prairie Portage. When I attempt to make a permit reservation only the entry date is requested, no exit date. So as I advance through the permit process it looks as though I'm only staying one night in Quetico. Obviously I'm planning for a multi day /night trip. Is this how the process works? Do I obtain a permit for one night, then tell the rangers at PP how long the trip will be and pay at that time for the number of intended nights of our trip? Thanks for the help

You declare length of trip at the ranger station and you will pay for your nights (minus the $100 deposit), If the fee for the trip is less than the $100 reservation deposit they will issue a refund.

A bit confusing, but that's how the system works

Thanks Banksitna & Adam. That's how I thought the process worked but wanted to be more certain prior to reserving a permit. Happy paddling.

I always just call and put in reservation over the phone - 888-668-7275 Never had any issues.
