On the west side of the park, I've found that both Gratton and Ballard have good LM bass fishing. I think Berniece, east of Poohbah, is also known as a good LM lake.

You will also find them in Sarah, but mostly in the nearly enclosed bay toward the north end of the lake that is the location of the portages into McIntyre.
You might also try the south end of Robinson. I picked up a couple down there, but very spotty.

I agree with the above. We caught LMB nearly every cast in Meadows. Mostly 0.5-2 pounders. We caught a few decent 2 pounders or so in the unnamed lake between McIntyre and Brent. And a buddy caught a nice LMB around 3 pounds or so in Lost Bay off North Bay of Basswood.

+1 on Meadows. Also caught some in Wolseley (west end of Quetico).

The no-name lake just West of Jeff Lake... Good largemouth .... Don't take too many out.

Yep, another plus 1 on Meadows for LMB. I don't know why anyone would want to catch LMB when you are in one the best places in the world to catch SMB? I remember meeting some scouts from Georgia at Louisa Falls and they were all excited to tell me about all of the LMB they were catching in Meadow Lake. They could catch 10 pound LMB down in Georgia and probably easily catch 5 pounders. But they were excited to be catching 2 pounders in Quetico. I couldn't understand why they would travel all of those miles to fish for a species they could catch monsters of back home. If you go to world class smallmouth area take advantage of the smallmouth fishing.

Elk lake has some, unnamed lake north of Brent between Brent and Suzenette. Ballard lake. Gardner Bay towards the beginning going towards Newt used to be full of them, but I think like a lot of the area stocked smallys pushed them out so not sure now.

South Lake, just north of North Bay, also has them. Sounds like many/most/all of the lakes in that area have a few (or more).

Berniece is definitely good for LM. First No Name lake north of Quetico coming from Beaverhouse is also good.

Couldn't agree more, Mike, which is why I don't really remember where all I've caught them. But to each his own I guess. One thing is for sure, If you tied a 3# LM to a 2# SM the SM would drag the LM to death in a short time, lol.

Yup, not so hard to find.......just listen for the little outflow of water and then a hop, skip and a jump. We didn't keep any but let them go. Clear water, you can see them swimming in the spring.
Conmee had some nice largemouths.

Meadows lake between Sunday and Agnes is LOADED with them. They are not large but are very numerous. Dell lake near Isabella, and Paulette between McIntyre and Burt also come to mind. There are many others but I cannot remember off the top of my head.

We caught some nice thick ones in North Bay of Basswood. I would check out Newt and Dell Lakes also.

I know Largemouth are not targeted very heavily in the Q and BW but does anyone know of small lakes with great Largemouth or smallmouth fishing? I love to fly fish and they are great on a fly.

There's something about the native largemouth we catch in Quetico--they are just so wild and beautiful, and we've had some memorable topwater strikes. We used to catch them as an afterthought but nowadays we plan our trips with at least a day or two targeting them. We've had some fun with them on Kahshahpiwi, Trant and Basswood, among other places that have been mentioned. They love a deer-hair mouse, thrown right up on the bank. And we made the young guy in the photo throw them back--he was not happy.
