I got a phone call from the Park Service today informing me that a fire ban is in place. Kind of an impressive level of service to get a phone call. I will be in for 16 nights and will have no way ,other than word of mouth, to know if the ban has been lifted.

Thanks for the update! I enter two weeks from tomorrow. Looks like they’re going to get a decent amount of rain today and also in the next few days it should rain again.

Fire ban is lifted. I stopped at the Atikokan park office and was pleasantly surprised to find it lifted. I had to put my saw back into my pack. Pretty good storm here yesterday and rain tonight. They also have WiFi here which is pretty nice.
