So I am assuming I can pick up a Quetico Permit on Saturday at the main office? Having trouble finding their hours.

I dont know. Call them. Worst case 8s Dawson Creek, about a half hour each way.

Their hours are posted on the door.

Or online. 9-6 on Saturday.

Thanks. I seem to recall picking one up on Saturday before, but try as I might, I couldn't find their hours.

I called and their message didn't say anything about Saturday. I can call tomorrow, but I hate to wait and lose out on a permit. I though there were plenty, until I went to reserve one and realized I had to click "non resident" and suddenly there weren't so many days available.

Very nice people, and convenient for the northern entries. If you want a very early entry, it is not like they open at 7 AM

I am not doubting the above info but I suggested calling because this is what I found online and have my doubts. Perhaps winter hours, perhaps things change.

Called the main office....you can pick up a permit there 7 days a week.

I was hoping to pick up my permit the night before my entry date. Has anyone done this in Atikoken? I've heard stories of people doing this at Dawson Trail.

If I remember correctly, if you get to the office in Atikokan by 3 the day before, you can pick up your permit for the next day. They close shortly thereafter (around 4 or 4:15) so it's a tight window. As stated above, the best option is to call the office to get their hours for the week/weekend to make sure.

Depending on where you are staying you might be able to have an outfitter issue your permit the day/night before.

I just used Doug at Canadian Quetico Outfitters for shuttle from Stanton and Camp Quetico to stay the PM before, both offered to issue me my permit the night before.
