Four hours or so if you are not pushing too hard. Your second portage down, Jack creek if I remember correctly will be a paddle or bog trot depending on the water levels. The third portage is at the back end of marsh. Just paddle straight down the only open stretch of water through the reed grasses and floating bog to what looks like a beaver dam. It's a short, muddy portage but nothing too difficult. The last portage is flat and then drops down to the bottom of Sue Falls. There is a camp at the outlet of the bay (your right hand side) as you paddle away from the falls. Your best camp in that area is further down the lake (take a right as you exit that first bay). It's a four star site and sits on the northern (right ) shoreline. Good route.

I use to go in that way and was able to easily do it in a day while triple portaging with heavy packs. There is a well used portage at the east point once you complete the Sue Falls portage. Personally I prefer the campsite on a little island a little further west.

I skied that route years ago. No problems. Most portages are short and obvious. The last one, into Cirrus, is 930 meters long and drops about 150 feet.

Looking for a little help. What is it like going from Lerome Lake to Cirrus to Sue Falls. Just curious what the portages are like and the time frame it would take double portaging to get to Sue Falls.

One last question: How are the campsites around there? I'll be going there the middle of June.

Thank You.....Terry

It’s a nice way to go. Mostly short, easy portages, except for the last one around Sue Falls. It’s a big hill. Nice camps on the points. Good fishing in Cirrus.
