I wouldn’t Want to be the 1st person going into Delahey lake. The hard portages to the west are all in the heavy burn zone. The 5* campsite on the Island is also heavily burned! Coming in from the North east is far less burn if you route into it from Camel.

Figured I’d mention that they managed to add in the shading for the Quetico map. It has the main outline in one format to see the basic overall outline. Of the fie. It has a map selection if you want to see the severity which is really helpful. Map setting just needs to be Quetico Fire Severity 2021.

Hopefully this makes planning easier for everyone.

Ryan,

What is the map source, i.e., who is "they"? I looked at the Ontario Fire Information Map but that didn't help.

Thanks

It would be the PP site which I can’t name on here. I don’t want to get black balled but did want to share the info since a lot of use that site especially for Quetico planning because this site doesn’t have any Quetico mapping or campsite reviews.

With that on when I looked at it today it was helpful to see where the fire had really burned the hottest.

Yep, looks like the Death March Portages from Conmee to Delahey is going to be even more difficult now.
