Took the McEntyre to Robinson creek route twice this year, once in June and again in August. By far my favorite part both times. A lot easier in June and a little challenging in the middle of August.

Creek and the falls were gorgeous both times, and then the view when I burst out of the creek into Robinson...just breathtaking. Made me think of Rocky Mountain camping.

I love that route. The creek is easy to wade and float and a beautiful portage out of McIntyre.. Did not find it difficult at all in 13, liked it enough that I did it on back to back trips in August and September.

We did that just a few days ago, and man oh man, what a journey.

Lots of lining the canoe, and lots of wading. IT as tough and a challenge, but it saved us 4 hours getting back to Robinson, versus going back down through Cecil and Deer...

I went through there in 2012 and really liked it too. There was a portage to a first beaver pond, which was defunct when I went through, but I launched anyway and took the creek for a bit and found the next portage on the left. That portage ended in another beaver pond that flooded the trail, so I launched and was able to float my way to Robinson. I remember battling some alders at the end and being relieved to hit open water.

Wondering what it's like now.

We have taken both routes and prefer the creek. It is an adventure and much more enjoyable than the series of lakes
