@Ausable that looks like a good loop for us. Any fishing feedback on that loop? @bobbernumber3 - love the campsite names. Do you get a tow out to your "Sat AM Start" spot? |

quote reilingr: "@Ausable that looks like a good loop for us. Any fishing feedback on that loop?" I'm not much of a fisherman. You could try asking this question in the fishing forum noting the names of the lakes or do a search using search function on this site. However, we have caught lake trout in Agnes, Jeff, and Summer; smallmouth in Agnes, Burke, and North Bay; walleyes and pike in North Bay. Also, ask your outfitter to mark your maps for likely places to fish. |

quote 24kGold: "What is the date of your trip?" Thanks all. Date of the trip is a bit in flux at the moment. Right now it's looking like late July/ Early August. |

Get a tow to Prairie Portage and go to the north end of Agnes on the first day. Second day layover. Third day go south and slightly west via the S-chain to, say, South Lake; or go south through East to Jeff or West Lake. Fourth day layover. Fifth day return to Prairie Portage via North Bay, Burke, etc. |

Trying to figure this out browsing conversations and using my shiny new Quetico book but having a bit of trouble. Wondering if I can ping the collective knowledge of you guys a bit. I have a group of six. We've been doing BWCA trips for a long time and we'd like to do Quetico this year. We're all ~35 and in decent shape. Typically, we can cover ground pretty well (single portage, no pots and pans banging around, etc.) The wrinkle is that we only have five days (typically trips seem much longer). Fishing is a priority. If possible, we'd like to have one or two layover days and 3- moving days. Willing to get a tow to wherever you'd suggest. Got anything that fits that description? Thanks a ton, Rob |

Here is our typical week in Quetico. Just ignore those campsite recommendations... |
