I make an eggbake from scratch that I listed here years ago in the breakfast section, its amazing but time consuming & makes a lot...enough for many trips (for 2). I found this in the freezer section of Aldi and I am going to try it at home with my canoe partner to see how it tastes, how long it takes to make, how filling it is etc. I think I will add rehydrated powdered eggs at camp (or real eggs), but want to make sure it fits in my new fry pan & see how it dehydrates straight from the package. |

We like the freeze dried apples, freeze dried yorgert, the jurkey, the beef sticks, the sting cheese, the shelf-stable bacon, shelf-stable cheese tortellini, the pasta dinners and the rice meals. |

I do use Trader Joe's for rosemary marcona almonds, their dried mango (tastes just like fresh mango!) and their dried mandarin oranges (because I always crave citrus on trips). |

They have an oat enriched pancake that is hydrated with just water. No eggs/milk needed. It’s pretty awesome. I will mix in a bag and cut a corner to dispense cakes. |

Freeleo1: "I noticed yesterday the dried mango was about $2 cheaper than at Kroger across the street. The dried fruit I've tried from there is similar to the name brand. " These are a great find. I buy these regularly for my longer canoe trips. Great source of vitamins and....sugar :) |

Also, it's just Aldi, not Aldi's, jut like it's Target, not Target's, or Barnes and Noble, not Barnes and Nobel's. |

pswith5: "That's kind of funny. Right after you misspelled Velveeta you corrected Aldi's" Reminds me of the OP's list of favorite foods: I wondered that if honey is bee vomit, (ok, I know--not really) then would "sting cheese" be their poop! :) |
