Try this stuff:
https://alpinestartfoods.com/collections/instant-coffee/products/instant-dairy-free-latte

It's the only brand of instant I drink and this version is really good. I like their other flavors too.

Not Nido. I love nido, but not in my coffee. It's just not like a heavy cream flavor. Prefer Coffeemate and sugar in my daily coffee at home and out on the trail. Or just drink it black.

Caribou for me is a Turtle: carmel, mocha, cream, and whatever else they put in there. A day's worth of calories.

Best creamer ever -- Salted Caramel Baileys. We bring a couple of Nalgene flasks and end up having to ration it by the end of the trip.

I tried Mini Moos on my last trip north. Pros: Very tasty, holds up and smoother than powdered creamer. Con: The units need protection from being squished in the pack. "

Everything powdered that we’ve tried just makes it worse so I think it might finally be time to bite the bullet and spring for the good stuff.

Thanks everyone!

Yes, we learned that the hard way :) But I just carry them in a plastic tupperware. We only have one coffee drinker in the group so not a lot needed.

I’m not sure if this is what your looking for? There is a site called Minimus that sells individual packets of real, shelf stable creamer. I always buy it for my spring trip. They will only ship overnight during summer months so I skip it for my early fall trip. It does have a shorter shelf life so I wouldn’t order it to early.

In my opinion Via is worthy of Coffeemate or perhaps even the generic equivalent (an indication of my level of coffee snobbery)- if you like cream in your coffee consider buying some powdered heavy cream- for best results it should be mixed with a little water before adding to your coffee. Lighter than the shelf-stable "creamer" and no possibility of liquid mess. I've bought it via Amazon- good for sauces in the wild as well.

If the rare mood for creamer strikes. Baily's for dinner coffee, RumChata for breakfast coffee.

I’m a classic suburban starbucks/caribou coffee snob in real life but I haven’t found anything I love to add to my via in the woods.

Any recommendations?

I’ve tried some of the instant coffees you can buy that are high end. Last year we just went with real coffee in my MSR French press style maker which was very good,

As for creamer it’s not what I like but gets the job done. I bring the powdered hazelnut coffee mate creamer. I also bring sugar. Mixes way better if you add it before pouring coffee in cup. It’s not great but it’s better than black for me which I wouldn’t drink.
