1 1-lb. bag of cashews 1 1-lb. bag of peanut M&M's 1 bag of dried pineapple 1 bag shelled sunflower seeds 1 large bag of Reese's Pieces *evenly distribute items between two large Ziploc bags, seal, and shake vigorously* I basically hit Fleet Farm and run through their dehydrated section and add the stuff I like. I tried Cranberries twice and have decided that I don't like them. I'm also certain that I left out another fruit and that it's never the same twice ... I'll second Midwest Northern Nut, I used to deliver to them occasionally (courier work) and have one of their brochures with all of the gorp/trail mixes. They've got a lot of variety! |

I probably use more dried fruit than most but here's a rough idea. about 1 package each if I remember right- Dried mixed berries (has blueberries and others I can't remember) Dried Cranberries Raisins Multi colored raisins 1/2-the-salt peanuts 1/2-the-salt cashews Lots of M&Ms - both regular and peanut butter plus whatever other dried fruit looks good Several people have said it's the best gorp they've had. I guess I should have paid more attention to the recipe, I just kind of make it to taste. |

My buddy Jim has a good recipe. It is: Take a large bag of M&Ms and to it add a large bag of M&Ms. Mix thoroughly to distribute the colors. :) |

1- breakfast mix of yogurt raisins, dried apples, pineapple, banana, cheerios, and peanuts. 2- spicy mix of rice crackers, cajun peanuts, sesame sticks, and red pepper pumpkin seeds. 3- snack mix of peanuts, m&m's, raisins, soy nuts, cashews. I also make a primarily chocolate mix when I go with my girlfriends consisting of goobers, raisinettes, peanut m&m's, peanut butter m&m's, peanuts, regular and dark m&m's, and yogurt raisins. I dont have a recipe, I just go to Trader Joes, pick up what I think will work and mix up it mix. I will also buy trail mix at Walmart and add to it. Gold Fish crackers work great especially the pretzel ones. Captain Crunch cereal is good for the breakfast mix. It just depends on what is on sale and what looks good. http://www.midwestnorthernnut.com/ - This is a great place to get nuts. If you live in the twin cities you can stop buy and purchase directly from them. Good prices. |

Peanuts & candy corn. It's just like a Payday or Pearson's Nut Roll. One thing to remember is that all of the pieces should be roughly the same size. This way, none of it settles to the bottom of the bag to quickly. |
