The powdered stuff is best left as a powder to add for flavoring in another dish. Adding it to oatmeal isn't half bad. I friend did a sweet dish that was instant oat meal, chocolate powder and peanut butter that really hit the spot on a cool evening after the death march from hell in search of tiny trout |

One word of caution that I will throw out after reading the article above... she mentions that PB2 has 85% less fat calories than the regular peanut butter, another of the packages pictured says low fat low cal... if that is true than I would be less excited about bringing it on my trip as the whole reason I bring PB on trips is for the fat calories which = energy. If you don't need the extra calories or long burning energy and just want it along for a treat, then the powdered PB would certainly be lighter! |

Even when I was in the Army, I usually had a jar in the field, just in case. You never knew if chow was getting to you and what condition it would be when it got there. Of course, I was usually motorized. |

If you mix it up for a spread, it tastes like real peanut butter, not like the low fat stuff. They also sell one that has chocolate in it, but I do not like it. One Hy Vee's in our area has it, and the one on the other side of town does not. Its in the organic isle. I have never ordered it form the company but have looked at their web site several times and seems like they are always out of it. Powdered Peanut Butter |

I have purchased it, and tried it. You add water and then mix. I think one part water, 1 part PB powder. It is "OK" but not as creamy and nice as the real thing. I decided NOT to take on trips, as then have to mess with mixing the darn stuff. So How do you do this in a simple way on the trail? So I opted out. I will not be using it, If it was ME, I would not waste my time. It is expensive, and a pain in the butt. SunCatcher |

I am hoping they will comment further as to the other ingredients, but thought I would at least put the idea here for others wondering about ways to utilize this product. |
