I've definitely picked a few fiddle heads in th BWCA. Totally depends on the weather when you'll find them spring, early summer. I find oysters all the time there everywhere!! We just pick enough for a meal!! If you have any questions send me a e mail.

Does anybody forage for fiddleheads or mushrooms in the BWCA? Fresh fish and fiddleheads are a favorite springtime meal of mine. If so, when is the best time of year for them? Is there any other tasty forage I should be looking to eat? I will be up there in mid-June.
Thanks,P
