The Idahoan mashed potatoes are also really good!!!

According to Amazon, they are dehydrated. Could find no info on the HJ website.

I also have not tried the Packit Gourmet spuds, but we do use the Hungry Jack hash browns. Easy, cheap and real tasty, especially if you add some onion and garlic.

I have not tried the Pack-it Gourmet diced potatoes, but my family routinely eats the Hungry Jack or Golden Griddle dried hashbrowns at home, so why mess with a good thing! If they eat it at home, they will devour it on the trail.....

This year I want to bring a dried potato product to mix in with a scrambled egg and bacon-type skillet breakfast.
I see lots of people here use the hash browns-in-a-carton type potato and really like them so I will probably do the same.
However, I noticed a freeze-dried diced potato product on the Packit Gourmet website when I was ordering some other vegetables from them and wondered if any of you have tried them? I generally prefer freeze-dried over dehydrated when I have a choice but in this case it may not matter.
