They don't have the same packaging but many of the same things. I like both companies Brown rice and Quinoa noodles since I got put on this gluten free diet. It's good tasting (almost as good as a regular noodle) and there is 5 grams of protein in each serving. There is a little learning curve to cooking it tho. |

For me, Trader Joe's is the holy grail and Aldi provides most of the rest of my needs. TJ's is just awesome for specialty items and a great wine selection for a low price. |

quote inspector13: " Thanks. I fired up google and see that you're correct. No real mention of it unless you poke around in the family history. |

Trader Joes ideas Regular Grocery Store |

Trader Joe’s has been owned by Theo Albrecht, owner of Aldi Nord for 37 years. Aldi grocery store is owned by his brother Karl who runs Aldi Sud. I find the quality of some of the suppliers to Aldi grocery stores in the Twin Cities to be hit or miss. I’ve never found several bugs (Lady Bug, Saw Fly, some type of larva) in pre-washed, ready to eat, bagged salad in the Dole brand! I wonder how many unlisted ingredients I ingested before I saw that weird orange dot on my romaine. |

I do get items at Aldi's for trips. The price is right for brands like Knorr and Zatarains. I've never thought of TJ's so I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the link in the OP. |
