This eagle was sitting in a big white pine in my campsite on Horseshoe Lake last Saturday morning...we looked at each other for about 45 minutes before the drama queens woke up and started to come out of their tents. Noisy teenagers....then he flew away.

We've had a heat index of 100+ for a few weeks. It's miserable with the humidity, just ask Ben (bhouse46) who was down here a couple weeks ago. The cool, spring fed rivers always provide a bit of a respite. It was over 110 heat index last Thursday when I got back on the water the first time. The Eleven Point was nice and cool and I dipped my bandanna and hat in frequently. We also did some swimming and wading to take advantage.

Our humidity is at 16% right now. With 100 temp its still tolerable. With heat and your humidity its got to be bad. Enjoy the river!!
