It was really remarkable. Probably the best fishing we've had in 18 trips and it will probably take another 18 to get one as good.


We've had a day here or there that were better, but never have we had five days in a row that good.

Awesome! Basswood is quite the fishery. We've had several days like that on Basswood too. Good to hear you had a great time.

we just came back from an 8 day trip north of there, and couldn't get the smallies to bite on top water.


What were you using, and how deep?

Honestly, the fishing was so good it barely mattered what we were using. We caught 'em topwater (mini Chug Bug for me), unweighted Senkos, shallow or medium running crankbaits, Ned Rig, whatever. Basswood, at least the southern end was hopping last week.
