Amazing trip. That beginning was a real doozie. I don't know if I would have been able to forge a new trip after that.

Great read. Thanks much for posting it.

"...forged us all into strong, confident women. If we could handle all that, we could handle anything...and we have."

I get that. The big trips I took when I was young gird me still now that I'm old.

Thanks for the read! It was a good un.

Aldy1: "You started your trip the day I was born :)"

Cool coincidence.

I can't wait to dig into this tonight after work. I thought there was something different about you after doing the PMA trip in the BW. Now I know you're of that special breed of person who loves adventure! Respect!

Enjoyed the report. You had a lot of challenges, especially at the beginning, and still managed to have a great trip. Amazing! Hope you are able to get a few pics up.

I have been trying for 5 days to add a few more photos, but I get a message every time that says the messageboard is undergoing maintenance. I will try again in the future, but wanted to at least get the narrative published.

Awesome trip report--thanks for sharing! Three cheers for adaptability and Camp Menogyn. I was an Hommes camper in 1991 (Albany River). My wife (led Femmes in '97, I think--North Knife River) and I paddled the Attawapiskat for our Honeymoon in the late 90's, so I enjoyed the heck out of this report.
Hope you get a chance to add more pictures.

Cheers,

-tom

Cheers fellow Menogynites. That sounds like a great honeymoon.

I am still hoping to add some pics of the newspaper articles and some sketches from our journal. That is if I can ever load photos to this site again...still not sure the problem.

However, I apparently did not take a camera of my own. I have been thinking of reaching out to the other group members to get some photos, but haven't done that yet.

That sounds like you got to experience a bit of everything that could go right or wrong. A character builder for sure! Looking forward to more pics, thanks for putting this together.

Enjoyed the report. A lot more adventure than most people encounter.
