Nice trip! You were all over LLC, or so it seemed.

Thanks for the write up. It seems that the Stuart River entry is not to be underestimated.

Very nice pictures from when your camera was working. Looks like you even had the timer function working for a couple of them.

Excellent write up. What a blessing to have 14 days. Your report read like a short adventure novel and I was hooked. Thanks for taking the time to share!

Great report! I haven't ever soloed up in the BWCA. Not sure if I ever will but I will bear in mind the difficulties of soloing and fishing if I do.

Thanks! That was a great report, I had to read it over 2 different days to get to the end. We stayed 2 nights at your site in Tiger Bay, we also liked that site a lot. I'm not sure if it's the same spot, but we found a point east Snow Bay that just had giant fish on it. The wind was howling that day so we'd get about 2 min per drift on it but that was fun. The unmarked portage was very hard for us to find that day trying to go west back into Snow Bay. We did find it but took probably at least 20 min of getting in and out and checking different spots.

Howling winds by Sanbar Island don't sound like much fun.

Great report. Read through the whole thing with my morning coffee. I went through Stuart in June. On the Dahlgren river, the Mergansers with their babies did the same thing to us! Those were some beautiful Lakers on Lac La Croix. Good fishing report. You really covered some ground. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing! Great report and what a great experience! Congrats on the 28" Walleye and the overall fishing success, really helped to have the depth finder along. Stuart river did not sound like a good time.

I have never been to the area but am planning a solo next spring in on 14, likely out on 16. Am not sure how much I will be on the big lakes (Loon/LLC) and how much I will stick to the smaller ones, but this is some great input that might help me decide that there needs to be some quality time spent on LLC.

A fellow Buckeye! I’m just up the road from you a ways in Piqua. I’m heading in for a week solo exploring the area just south of LLC out of ep 16. Not looking forward to the drive.

Hi. Yeah I hear ya on the long drive. I'm also heading back for 2 more weeks via EP16 on Sept 2. Not sure exactly the route but Iron is one place for sure and probably Lady Boot Bay. Enjoy your trip and safe travels.
