Enjoyed the report! I did the same route but the reversed direction in May and stayed on the same site in Ogish my first night. Saw the sharp-shinned hawk flying around a bunch!

Congrats on a successful "newbie" trip. Sounds like you had a great time and learned a lot. I wish every new group could see your "wish I had 10 lbs less in my pack" statement. I have seen more sharp-shinned hawks this year than ever before...probably because I finally learned to recognize them, LOL.
I think you might have been the group that was at the Agamok falls area the same time as my husband and I. We were eating lunch on the near side and you went across the bridge to eat. Was that you?
