Ha! I guess that when I'm not trying to please everybody else on a trip, food becomes much less important... Might have to change my moniker to "boils water"

I love the way you narrate your trip. Even without photos, I felt as if I experienced the scenery and feelings. Love how you describe the merganser and the loon fishing.

Nice trip report. I'm glad to hear it went well for you and you enjoyed your solo. It's nice being able to just make spur of the moment changes in your trip. I often see more wildlife (and other things) when I'm solo...at least until I start talking to myself :).
