Thanks for the great report Gunflinter. Mary Jo and myself enjoyed meeting you.
As newcomers we appreciated the warm welcome we received from everyone too. Trix was the first BWCA.com person we encountered on the dark path leading into camp Friday night. She encouraged us to just jump right in with everybody and it would be OK. She was right! A really great group of people.
If you want to try ice fishing go to Lake of the Woods. You just show up and they take you out to heated houses. The vehicles they use usually float if you break through the ice. It is hard to keep the Walleyes and Saugers off your line.
