I did not realize that I had a southern accent!!!, It was nice that you brought along some young people hopefully they will continue to support the Quetico, it sounded like they were having a good time.

Hey Miami,
I'm the owner of the painted canoe. It's a 1983 Alumacraft Quetico Cl, and it's done some time in service as a "retriever" on a few waterfowl excursions. We enjoyed seeing you guys, too. It was nice to hear the southern accents in the north country.

Great trip and report. Glad you brought kids through the B lakes -- hope they loved it as I did. Your report had one of the greatest sentences I've ever read: "Because my buddy forgot a few utensils (and his underwear), we had to improvise." I sure did wonder what was coming next! that was quite a trip to take with "kids"..i know the guys i go with have a hard time on some of those carries and still keep in good humor.

I like the site on Oliphant Lake, it provided a great spot to dry out clothes.

My brother and I were the two guys from ohio that you passed on pine portage bay. Nice report I had hoped to post a report over christmas break but due to an illness in the family I did not get it done. But I did take a picture of your crew fishing pine portage bay.
