Thanks for the comments. The trip was fantastic. LLC, Iron and Curtain/Crooked were places that made us novices truly appreciate the effort we put in. It also made us old guys hungry for more as our window for those challenges won't stay open long!

Very nice trip report - and photos. I enjoyed reading about your journey - what great memories for all the fathers and sons.

Thanks, nla, glad you had such a good trip with your son and friends. I enjoyed my first trip through EP 16, although we went west to Pocket and back down through Oyster and out.

Thanks nla, I enjoyed that! I've done this route a few times myself and always enjoy other folks take on the area.

Really liked that last pic of you canoe.

Thanks for taking us along.

I also trip with my teen age son. He always likes to talk about our trips. Enjoy any and all trips with the boys those days are coming to a end soon.

Nice report. It captured the simple thoughts that the BW inspires. Reminded me a lot of my first trip to that area about 10 years ago, also a father/son trip. Thanks.

Nice report and a fun read...Thx! Can't beat tripping with your sons. I too had the canoe slide into the water and start heading away in some huge waves. My son casted out his spinnerbait to "reel" that 17-foot fish to shore. Something we'll never forget. The pic of the four boys at the falls is a classic!

Thanks for the report nla. An enjoyable read. From your ending quotes, it's obvious you "get it" and will be back for many years to come. Good looking bunch of paddlers!

BTW, welcome to the site. Lots of friendly folks here willing to offer advice and tips. Just ask.
