Great report. I went through that area about 2 weeks later and a lot of those colorful leaves were gone. I always enjoy your photos....I can almost smell the pine needles when looking at them.

Wonderful report, thans a lot. I've been windbound on those long lakes before, you were lucky to have calmer weather than I had on that loop.

I enjoyed your trip report, Lightfoot - there were a lot of similarities to mine. I entered East Bearskin a couple of days after you, which was a switch from the west side of Gunflint. Very similar scenery, lakes not quite as big, same weather, of course. You took better pictures than me, though.
