Great report. You guys seemed to find the answer to the overcrowding issue. Thankful that tree stopped where it did, that must have sounded like a train coming through your tent.

A very exciting trip!
Nice to see the photo's of Achundo and the south part of Rangeline. I guess that I'll just have to remember the islands on Rangeline as they were on a much more serene morning...

Thank you for posting about your adventure.

Glad to see nobody got hurt. You surley had someone looking out for you. Great pictures, I really liked the one where the folks are going over the beaver dam, had to look at it twice to figure out what they were doing. Good thing you had all those young folks along, that trip would have killed some of us old bucks. FRED

Thanks for the report and pictures. I'm glad you survived that close call without any injuries (or worse).

Yes, it was your island photo that first got my attention about attempting this trip. All of the islands on the north side of the lake sustained some damage. The attached photos show how the eastern most island looked before and after the storm. Note all the trees laying down on the shore side. I'd love to spend a few days on this lake ...in nice weather!

Here's the backside of that island before the storm.

Thank you for posting about your adventure."

Here's the front after the storm.

The wind and the rain were so deafening that I actually never heard the tree come down. It was not until someone yelled from the outside that we realised what had happened.
