Thanks for the report, a winter trip is one thing I have always wanted to try but I have not yet had the chance. Hopefully one day.

Nice report. some really cool pictures, I really liked the one of your book, your snowshoe and the bare leg. Sorry you didn't really like the whole winter camping thing but maybe you should give it one more chance, let's face it you really learned a lot from this trip that should make the second trip much nicer and if not what the heck you had a good [well semigood trip] gave it a shot.
