Happens every year this time. I'm filling up the feeder about every three days.

Put out a feeder early in the year. It makes a difference in the number that you see. That's been our experience, anyway.

We make our own with table sugar. water:sugar 3:1 early and late in the season. 4:1 in the summer.

I make my own food for the hummingbirds."

I make my own 4:1 water-sugar.....I put the feeders out 2nd week of April, they usually show up 3-4th week of April and are gone by mid-September though last year I had a straggler that hung on till October 1st..

I haven't seen a male hummer at our feeders in about two weeks.....the females that are still here are going crazy though.

As of last night I still had a few around the feeder. I would guess that after this weekend they will have moved on from my area.

We're a couple hours south of you and we've noticed it slow down over the course of the week. We'll probably pull ours sometime the week after next.
