Time flies by. Did the basecamp trip out of Trail's End camp ground and covered both Seagull and Grandpa lakes day tripping with an infant last fall... time has turned to toddler-hood. He will be about 12-13 months when we go- looking for any advice you have. I think the biggest issue is him wanting to pull himself up on everything and shuffle around.... What do you guys do with this stage? I'm not concerned about what to do around the campsite- mainly just traveling? Likely doing a basecamp entry lake or possibly a 1-3 portage in and basecamp. Looking to avoid big water at this point. Route recommendations? I figured I would just grab a permit that was open a week before we go.

Something like Baker to Kelly would be good. Or even Alton to ...burnt I think.
We did the same thing as when they were babies at that stage. We put the little one up front with my wife on some blankets and she paddled when she could and dealt with them when she had to. Brought some toys. I have no issue paddling by myself for most of the trip as long as it is decent weather.

Lots of good suggestions here.
