My pride was hurt too, but there was no one out to see me fall. I was too afraid to bike by myself after that. I did get my son and his friend to climb Eagle Mt. with me-- the highest point in MN. That was fun. Hiking with two sixteen year olds was a real work out. We also went swimming twice at Judge Magney-- a mile in at Devil's Kettle Falls. Really really sweet. The boys dug standing beneath the falls. I read a lot to prep for the classes I will teach, and even did some water coloring so it was a great trip, but I did not bike. I am really sad about that. I love mountain biking, but I lost my nerve. My chin still hurts, but the scab and swelling are barely visible. My palms are pock marked, and my knees scabbed over, but my pride is still intact. Pretty much anyway. Thanks for inquiring. Hope you upcoming bw trip is a good one. Karen |

quote tremolo: "So I am taking off today for my in-lieu-of bw trip, and heading to the gm area instead with my sixteen yr old son and his buddy. I am bringing my mountain bike and intend to try the Devil's Track Lake Loop. " So how was it? |
