What is your opinion on screen protector on a touchscreen gps?

I have the Garmin Oregon 400t, with screen protector, seemed to hamper the touch screen function ,so I removed, worked better. Would like to put protector back on. Thanks for your advise, was looking at screen protectors on Amazon, lots to choose from.

If it’s a Garmin GPS use the ones made by Garmin. They are anti glare and they actually work. I had one on my Garmin Montana for years and wanted to replace it with the glass ones. Wrong move on my part. With the glass ones it made it very hard to move around. Get the screen protection made from Garmin. The Garmin ones are made from a plastic film and work great in wet conditions or with gloves on. Every Garmin model has a screen protector they sell. I even bought one for my 7” depth finder that is touch screen.
