GPS File Depot is the best FREE map site that I have found. For the BWCA, just go to Minnesota. There is the BWCA Portages & Campsites overlay and Minnesota Topo.

Thanks for creating the group! I wanted to start a topic for GPS maps maybe we can post good spots to get maps and keep them in one area. I find myself trying to locate and download good maps all the time.

I have been playing with the Canada Topo and overlayed a Quetico portage data set.

This can be loaded onto Garmin (maybe other) GPS units for trip navigation/information.

Mapsource can be found free,

I just received the "Ibycus Canada Topo"
topo
and installed to "Mapsource".

McKenzie Lake Quetico

McKenzie Lake zoomed in a bit

Not a lot of detail but for the price [free, but I donated and received a DVD] but useful especially for Garmin users.

expanded to show coverage
