You just made a press with foam, wood and clamps? I think I am going to order some kydex and rivets. I will give it a try.

Beautiful blade for sure.I'm sure it'll be his fav gift of the season and cherished for many years as he takes it out on adventures of his own.


Here's a guy I subscribe too on youtube that make some pretty nice kydex sheaths. He has lots of videos showing him making them for people..

Working with Kydex is very easy. My tools are just the gas grill, tin snips, foam insulation, and a Dremel tool.
Your son will enjoy this Xmas!

I recently saw that Tandy Leather is selling Kydex, I may have to pick some up next time I am in the store.

I bought Canyon his first knife for Christmas this year. As I was wrapping it I opened it up and this would be a great neck knife. The sheath it comes with is not the best for a necker, but if someone can do kydex (butthead?) if would be an outstanding neck knife. Very impressed with this small blade. I am ordering another with a micarta handle for me!
