Great lines and a fantastic hamon. So overall is this considered a stainless knife then? I enjoy viewing your work on BladeForums and wouldn't mind a bit seeing more of it in this one.

That is not a hamon.
(the very last picture is a Hamon.)

That is the bottom edge of the 420 stainless "jacket" of San Mai.
The welding of the 420 stainless to tool steel - in this case 1095 - has to be accomplished in an oxygen-free environment.
It's actually quite an accomplishment.
Here is an example of the 420 Stainless San Mai over a Damascus core:

I hope you don't mind if every now and then I toss up a new creation of mine.
This is what I do for a living, but I am NOT offering these for "sale" here.
Only showcasing a few things for the enjoyment and 'viewing pleasure' of those who frequent this sub forum.
This is a knife that is made from a very difficult and time consuming method of forge welding stainless steel on either side of a tool steel core.
The cutting portion of the blade is 1095.
The guard is 1903 wrought iron and the handle is Gaboon Ebony.
I'm going to start advertising in the BWJ and this may be one of those ads.

Karl, thanks for the tutorial. I am very impressed with the product you turn out.
