Puffin, thanks for watching as well. She's a good dog, getting a little older now, but she's in her element out there!

Nice video Harlan. I think that we all know that even though this is a significant peak fire year, the vast majority of the park remains as it was.

I have an idea for another video. When it is safe to do so, get some footage of the affected area from the air, and then go into the burned area to show the ruggedness that has been exposed by the fire. Also show how quickly the forest starts to regenerate.

I am saddened that much of the area I plan on exploring next spring has been changed for my lifetime by these fires, but I have decided that I will embrace the changes and will use the newly "opened landscape" to explore places that I otherwise would not have had access to.

Enjoyed your video, Harlan. Listened but couldn't pick up the thunder but that's okay. The video of the sky and memories bring back to me what that's like. Agree with you about being able to sit it out the rain under a tarp, not cramped up and hunkered down in a tent: much more enjoyable. Beautiful dog. She/He looks like great company for a your nice little trip and looked to be having a good time too. Thanks for sharing.
